A Haliburton House Wedding
Letting go. Forging forward. That's one of the hardest life lessons of them all.
I've been busy behind the scenes. Updates. Tweaks. Archiving. New additions. The list goes on and on. The past year was an absolute blur, but I had fun at every step along the way. As existing galleries from the main page are replaced I wish to give them a new home within the blog. At some point someone will stumble across them and hopefully fall in love with them as much as I have.
Tonight I finish the process of refreshing the website with the retirement of this gem from the main page. Why do I love it?
It was one of the most intimate weddings I've photographed. One of the most intimate weddings I've attended. Just those who matter the most, nestled under the trees that line a small courtyard in the heart of Halifax. True happiness. Triumph. Success. Support. Pride. It was all there, and it couldn't have been better.
Original excerpt below;
The courtyard at Haliburton House is an oasis that every Halifax wedding photographer should have an opportunity to document. Removed from the traffic of Barrington and Morris Streets and sheltered by a canopy of green leaves, it presents itself as the perfect spot for a small, intimate wedding. It was an honour to have been there for Jen & Amy, an honour to have watched them walk into the courtyard together and an honour to have watched the beaming smiles of those in attendance. These two have shared much already and the joy conveyed by all on that summer afternoon is a good indication that more great things are to come.
