Northwest Arm Engagement Session

June 23, 2015

Three quick frames from a recent session along the shores of Halifax's Northwest Arm.

There's a reason why I love this town.

The fact that you can transition from the heart of the city to a quiet lookoff by the ocean within a matter of minutes never ceases to amaze me. We managed to find the perfect perch for watching the sun set and the sail boats coming home.

Truro Winter Engagement Photos

April 8, 2015

Spring weather is almost here. It's been an ungodly weather, albeit very pretty at times. The change in season leads to an increase in engagement photo sessions ahead of the summer months and I'm looking forward to working with clients who have booked for the 2015 & 2016 wedding seasons. Jill and Paul are one of those couples and I had a lot of fun capturing these images just outside of Truro. What better way to beat the cold than a campfire and warm drinks?

Peggys Cove Winter Engagement

March 12, 2015

I absolutely love being a wedding photographer, but I also love portrait sessions. It's a chance to relax and explore. It's a chance to have fun and take some chances. In this case those chances included a bitterly cold wind off of the Atlantic and knee high snow between the granite rocks of Peggys Cove. Despite the wind and despite the snow I think we did well. It was Nika's first visit to the area and I hope I haven't left a scar. It's nicer in the summer. I promise.
