An Early Winter Engagement Session

What should you do about engagement photos when the cold weather sets in? When the leaves have fallen and the local liquor store stops selling summer themed beer? Embrace the cold. Follow the sun as it sets and make use of every beam of light. And when it does set? Start a fire. Cuddle up. Enjoy a glass of something heavier and look ahead.

It was an absolute pleasure to have spent an early evening with these two along the shores of the Northumberland Strait. A beautiful evening. A beautiful view. Beautiful colours. And a handsome pup. Lets not forget about the pup.

Rock Climbing Engagement Session at Chebucto Head

I’ve hiked Chebucto Head a number of times but there is a section of trail close to the lighthouse that I’d never explored. As someone with vertigo I tend to shy away from steep sections of hill and during each visit I’d kept my distance. Turns out I’d been missing out - what appears to be steep can be easily navigated and leads to a beautiful formation of granite rock. At a glance it looks untouched . . unexplored even. Look closer and you’ll notice the climbing bolts and hangers that have been secured to the rockface. It’s a playground for those who are far more adventurous than myself and these two were more than happy to spend an hour exploring the various paths that lead from base to peak.

Hello 2020! It’s been a while, friends. Almost 7 months . . . . .

Have things been busy? Absolutely. Have I had the time to blog? Absolutely. Will I take advantage of the time I have to blog in the coming season and avoid the mistakes of yesteryear? Absolutely. I have to. I owe it to myself, and I owe it to you. There have been a number of incredible projects and celebrations from the past two years that I’d like to share - in the coming weeks those will slowly make their way to my website.

Alongside those galleries will be a couple of opinion pieces - things that I’ve wanted to get off my chest for quite some time (including my decision to shutter most of my social media accounts!) as well as the formal announcement of a contest for the 2022 calendar year. The prize will be free wedding coverage to one lucky couple and it will involve a real world scavenger hunt and none of that ‘share this post ‘x’ amount of times or ‘like this’ or ‘like that’ nonsense.
