Love Ain't Just A Word

January 15, 2016

Post title courtesy of Rudimental's new album, We The Generation.

Follow HWY 134 North from Shedic and you'll eventually reach Grande-Digue. Turn right onto the 530 and you'll be led around a lazy loop of the peninsula, finishing off at the Rendez Vous Ice Cream bar. Delicious.

I had the pleasure of visiting Grande-Digue twice this past summer - once for a wedding and once for Amelie & Julien's engagement session. High winds and rain off of the Northumberland Straight paid a visit each time, but so did a generous amount of colourful evening sun. In its presence it becomes immediately apparent why so many homes and cottages have been built on the Western side of the peninsula. I doubt it's for the views of neighbouring Cocagne. Wind and rain be damned. They've been built to soak those colours in.

Having your photo taken isn't easy. It isn't natural. But I always chuckle when I hear;

"We're not very good at having our picture taken . . "

To which I smile, look through the viewfinder and mutter "nonsense" as I see this.

Love Ain't Just A Word.

Riverview, New Brunswick Wedding

March 27, 2015

It may have been overcast and slightly muggy from time to time, but the 21st of June was punctuated by smiles, laughter and high-fives (and shirtless men crowding the dance floor at the Crystal Palace Ramada (disclaimer: not the reason why it was shut down)). The gallery above is a small slice of the full wedding day and focuses on some of the faces and positive energy that made this wedding one for the record books. Cheers to strong friendships and supportive families - it was fantastic to see everyone come together for Katie & Dan's celebration. A huge shout out to a couple of amazing vendors from the Moncton area - Sarah-Jane Bastarache provided her amazing skills as a make-up artist and Sophie Aube Leger of Lace & Twine Event Styling transformed your typical hotel reception hall into something downright cozy. These two deserve some high-fives of their own.
